The word, “magick” is used to differentiate its concept from the more conventional use. “Magic” refers to illusion, stage performances, which are in essence only simulations of “Magick”.

Arthur C. Clarke once said something - which I think he paraphrased from Francis Bacon - along the lines of “Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic”, and simply from the perspective of its being more or less incomprehensible to most people, this is probably a pretty good description of real Magick.
You can go and search for more information about Magick, yourself. Search deeply, though, because the major search engines such a google and yahoo have a nasty tendency to emphasize bullshit versions such as professional skeptics and new age crap. There is nothing - nothing, nothing, nothing - “new” about Magick. You may find better information under “chaos magick”…

Perhaps the most concise definition, or description, of Magick was uttered by the famous High Priest of Baseball, Casey Stengel, who said, quite simply: “Ya gotta believe.”‘
