First, the ellipsis (…) is a continuation sign that changes from one “theme” to another. Look into the “presentations” available on your blog and change from one to another and see what becomes of the sign. I think the current one I’m using here as of this writing (4/6/2008) is using a button for the sign.
The “whole blog” reference I am assuming means that what you actually want is to expand the specific post while leaving the rest of the page more or less intact, instead of going to a page with only the specific post on it. Is that right? If so, I think there are some themes that in fact do that. I have also experimented (and could say I am still doing so) with two other pieces of software of more or less the same genre as WordPress although not specifically slanted toward blogging: Joomla and Drupal. Neither of them have quite the richness of themes that WordPress does, but are probably more suited to running a complete website, and I’m nearly certain that one or the other - or both - does provide such a feature. Also, while WP does have a sort of forum software, it’s not anywhere near as good as some others that are for forums (fora?) from the ground up…
It seems to me that the […] that appears at the end of each intro should be a link to the whole blog but it’s not. And is it an option you chose to only show the beginning of your blogs or is that how it’s set up?
