Quite a few years ago, I ran across some references to a substance called “Brown’s Gas”… it turned out to be the result of dissociating water: water, as everyone knows, is H2O - its molecules are composed of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom linked together by sharing a couple of electrons… whatever “atoms” and “electrons” are (but that’s a whole nother story)…
It turns out that if you pass electrical current through water, the hydrogen atoms will let go of the oxygen atoms’ electrons and grab the electrons passing through the water. So what happens is that the hydrogen AND the oxygen are now balanced and become regular old gases… and just bubble right out of the water. The gas that bubbles out has both free hydrogen atoms and free oxygen atoms - twice as many hydrogens as oxygens, so it’s called HHO as a chemical type name, or Brown’s Gas. Go look at http://brownsgas.com for more info about this name - why “Brown:” and more links.
Now… here’s the really interesting thing about HHO - if you light it, it burns. Burning - or oxidation as chemists like to call it - consists of the combining of a given substance with oxygen, with a resultant release of energy in the form of heat - and light, if it’s hot enough to radiate in the visible spectrum… Get it? Here you have the perfect substance to burn - it’s got the oxygen it needs, right fricken built-in!!!
But wait - it gets better: when it burns, the oxidized product is water!
Think about it: when you burn wood, the products are energy (the heat and light) but also several other things: smoke, carbon monoxide, ashes and whatnot. When you burn petroleum products in your car engine, you get heat (which you don’t really want - you want the expansion of the gases to push on the top of the piston and make it go down) but you also get a whole bunch of other crap, which is what comes out of the exhaust pipes, and which is pollution because by and large it’s horrible nasty shit. But when you burn HHO, you get the heat and the expansion alright, but the exhaust is fricken water!
There’s no question whether hydrogen is a rational fuel - it definitely is. The only real question is how you can carry hydrogen around with you. All the bullshit about “fuel cells” is just that: bullshit. The obvious way to carry hydrogen around with you is in the form of water… after all, our own bodies are basically nothing much more than a bag of water with various specialized organs for keeping the water in and providing other sorts of fuels for powering motion, et cetera.
But if you carry around the water - which is pretty goddamn obviously just about the safest way to transport hydrogen, then how do you break the molecules to give you the HHO gas in sufficient quantities to be useful as a fuel?
Lots of people have been working on this. For a long time. Going back to Jules Verne, it appears.
Here are some terms for you to go search on - go to google or yahoo or dogpile or your favorite search engine and look it up. There are quite a few videos on youtube.com and video.google.com so you can look there, too. This list is just to get you started…

I saved for last the reason I started this whole thread… a week ago, when I was visiting my son Carl up in a suburb of Cleveland, we got to talking about this, and he got interested in it and helped me rekindle mhy own interest in it. (Yeah, I know… CLEVELAND???? Well, he is enamored enough with his job as the ace Internet Guy for ABB, sometimes known as “the GE of Europe”, although it would be more accurate to call it “the GE, Westinghouse, and several others combined”, that he took a transfer from God’s Country to Ohio (don’t fricken talk to me about George Bush… I’ve got NEWS for you bro’: Dubya is NOT a Texan. He wasn’t born here, he didn’t go to school here, and the fact that he got elected governor only goes to show that the electoral process is bullshit. He’s from fricken CONNECTICUT, fer Chrissake… he went to Yale, where the average grade is A and he made C’s (what does THAT tell you?), and he was a fricken CHEERLEADER… no, he’s not a Texan, he’s a carpetbagger - and if you don’t know what that is, use your fricken search engine).
Ooops,. sorry, rant mode is now OFF - feel free to move about the cabin.
Where was I? Oh, yes, the reason I sat down to write this. Here’s a link for you - this is a zip file which contains an AVI video and severl JPG pictures I took a couple of hours ago. One of my friends and band mates, Nate, came by this evening to show me his working Joe cell system, just installed and running in his Toyota Tundra pickup. He’s just got it going, said the car is running much better and smoother and has more power already - he’s just a few miles into it so he has no mileage data yet, and the install is a learning experience. After talking for a few minutes, I grabbed my wife’s Fuji Z1 camera and took a couple of pics and the short video. Watch this, and tell me what you want to know about it - I’m planning to do a MUCH better video - an interview where Nate will tell us exactly what he’s done here… my son Mark will help put it into shape for a youtube upload, and we’ll proceed from there… hmmmm… somebody else told me about a son doing some video editing as part of a course at Sul Ross… I feel some really powerful information sharing coming on… wow!
Here’s the link to the ZIP file: download this - it’s big, like 110 MB, but it’s worth it!
More later - It’s fricken midnight… I’m hammered, ’cause I’m being a bachelor all week and I’m going on my fourth straight night of 4 hours sleep, and I’m a 6-hour sleeper. PLEASE comment - put links in your comments, if you’re smart enough - if you don’t know how, email me and I’ll show you how (it’s easy, don’t worry).

It's Leo. Go back to the top and read the page titled "WhoDat?"... Maybe I can do an excerpt here someday. Maybe soon. Probably some time after I find out how to excerpt anything... I'm pretty sure it isn't too hard.
What is needed here is something like the stuff right above it which checks for existence of something
and if it exists shows it, otherwise puts in general blather.
This sounds suspiciously like someone trying to cheat the law of conservation of energy. Wouldn’t the cost of production of Oxyhydrogen be at best the equal of the energy gained when reoxidizing?
